Become a 2012 Annual HIMSS Conference Speaker:

- Enhance your professional growth by earning points for advancement to Senior or Fellow status or continuing education units towards the CPHIMS or other credentials.
Upon acceptance of your proposal:
Lecture Speakers and Roundtable Facilitators will receive:
- A complimentary registration to the 2012 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition. This complimentary registration is non transferrable.
- All speakers/facilitators who are HIMSS members will receive 10 HIMSS advancement points for speaking/facilitating at conference.
Workshop Speakers will receive:
- A complimentary registration to the 2012 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition Workshop . This complimentary registration is non transferrable.
- A complimentary registration to the 2012 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition. This complimentary registration is non transferrable.
- A $250 honorarium for a 4-hour workshop.
- A $500 honorarium for an 8-hour workshop.
- All speakers who are HIMSS members will receive 15 HIMSS advancement points for a four hour workshop.
- All speakers who are HIMSS members will receive 20 HIMSS advancement points for an eight hour workshop.
E-Session primary authors receive:
- While attendance is not required at conference, the primary author of an e-session will receive a complimentary registration to the 2012 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition. This complimentary registration is non transferrable.
- All e-session authors who are HIMSS members will receive 5 HIMSS advancement points.
Physician, Nursing Informatics and Emerging Professional (those with five years or less experience in health IT) Poster primary authors receive:
- A complimentary registration to either the HIMSS12 Nursing Informatics Symposium or Physicians' IT Symposium, or the Emerging Professsionals Workshop. This complimentary registration is non transferrable.
- A complimentary registration to the 2012 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition. This complimentary registration is non transferrable.
- All primary poster session authors who are HIMSS members will receive 5 HIMSS advancement points.
PLEASE NOTE: All speakers accepted through the Call for Proposal will be responsible for their own hotel and travel arrangements and any expenses incurred.
