All Annual HIMSS Conference proposals must be received online by May 30, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time. It is strongly recommended that you do not wait until the last minute to submit your proposal.

>>How do I submit a proposal?

It's as easy as 1-2-3. After reviewing the submission guidelines on this site:

  1. Register with the Website.
Logging in your name, valid e-mail address, and a password will ensure that only you have access to your online proposal. You will be able to come back to the site to finish or edit your proposal at any time up until the May 30 deadline. NOTE: Individual required fields may be skipped temporarily by leaving them blank. The Save and Continue button at the bottom of each submission page must be clicked for entered information to be saved. Your email and password is required to edit a previously submitted proposal. Please be sure you have edited and reviewed your proposal by May 30, 2008! No late edit requests will be accepted!!

  2. Complete the 2-page online proposal form.
See Proposal Submission Requirements below for more details. It is strongly recommended that you save your proposal in your own word document! Review your proposal one final time before the May 30 deadline.

  3. Save your proposal # and password!
A proposal # and password will be included in the email confirmation you will receive AFTER you submit your proposal. SAVE THIS INFORMATION!! Your proposal # and password will be needed to access the accept/decline site. If you forget your proposal # and password, it may take up to 24 hours for HIMSS to reply with your proposal # and password in order for you to access the accept/decline site in October.

You will be notified of your proposal's status the second week of October, 2008.
Again, save your proposal # and password that you will receive in the e-mail confirmation after you submit a proposal. It may take up to 24 hours for HIMSS to respond to your request of your proposal # and password when checking the accept/decline status.

Important Note For All DoD/MHS Proposal Submitters:
