Lectures
Roundtables
E-Sessions
Lectures
A 60-minute traditional, lecture-type conference education session in which a specific topic
is presented and discussed. The presentation is followed by a brief question and answer period.
No more than two presenters are allowed in this format.
If accepted, requirements will include submission of:
- Presentation materials per guidelines
- Completed Speaker Acceptance Packet (Failure to complete this packet by the scheduled deadline will result in automatic cancellation of accepted status)

Roundtables
A 60-minute discussion amongst attendees about a certain issue.
THIS IS NOT A PANEL PRESENTATION WITH SPEAKERS AND PANELISTS. Roundtables are
opportunities for attendees with a common interest/concern regarding a
specific subject to discuss that subject with peers. The facilitator will
offer a 10-minute (maximum) presentation in which the issue/subject is
framed for the group of attendees and then will guide the discussion with
prepared questions. At the conclusion of the discussion, the facilitator
will spend five minutes summarizing key findings, suggestions, and points.
One facilitator allowed.
If accepted, requirements will include submission of:
- We ask that roundtable facillitators create presentation slides to help frame the roundtable discussion
- Completed Speaker Acceptance Packet (Failure to complete this packet by the scheduled deadline will result in automatic cancellation of accepted status)
- 800 by 600 pixel photo
E-Sessions
A 20-minute electronic presentation (Powerpoint). HIMSS will
provide a professional voice-over to add audio to your Powerpoint.
E-Sessions are available at designated computer stations
and available for viewing throughout the conference during show hours. The
presenter does not need to be present; there is no "live" presentation. An
unlimited number of authors can work on the E-Session. However only the
author listed as the primary author will receive a complimentary registration.
If accepted, requirements will include submission of:
- Presentation slides
- Script of presentation (for a studio voiceover to read) Instructions on how to submit a script will be sent upon acceptance.
- Completed Speaker Acceptance Packet (Failure to complete this packet by the scheduled deadline will result in automatic cancellation of accepted status)
