HIMSS AsiaPac 09 Conference & Exhibition The organizers of the HIMSS AsiaPac 09 Conference & Exhibition welcome you to the Call for Papers submission site. As a proposal submitter, your proposal will be reviewed and considered for possible program selection for the HIMSS AsiaPac 09 Conference & Exhibition. The majority of proposals selected will come from speakers in the Asia Pacific region as this is the geographic focus for the conference. Please note that very few proposals will be accepted or invited from speakers outside the region as the conference will focus on the role and impact Health IT has on the health sector in the Asia Pacific region. This unique event is designed to connect leading health information and communication technology experts from the Asia Pacific region in educational sessions, vendor exhibitions, interoperability demonstrations, exchange of experiences and networking sessions, and other professional development opportunities. Target audiences for the conference are: Healthcare and IT professionals from public and private sectors including clinicians (medical, nursing and allied health professionals), industry and professional associations that support health professions, health informaticians and IT leaders as well as government leaders and policy makers, vendors, consultants, researchers and academics. The target audience will predominantly be drawn from countries within the Asia and Pacific regions. The educational sessions will primarily address experiences from deployed services, and focus on proven benefits in quality and efficiency through health information technology.
